Black Bear Hunting

Sound Adventures offers non-guided hunting trips. Spring hunts start in May and the fall hunts in September. We have two13 foot Zodiacs for shore and stream access, both with jet pumps for shallow water. The spring hunts allow easier spot and stalk opportunities, due to the lack of vegetation. Fall hunts are around the flats and tidal streams where the salmon have collected, primary hunting areas will be the tidal flats, inlets and head of bays. It’s not uncommon to fill your tags early and finish the trip out fishing. Some hiking is required, so being in shape is an asset. Sound Adventures is a permittee of the Tongass National Forest and operates with a permit to transport hunters in the National Forest. Non-resident hunting license- $85.00, Black bear tag - $225.00
