Orcas
The killer whale is the largest member of the dolphin family. They are called killer whales because they attack and consume whales and other large prey such as seals and sea lions.

Steller's Sealions
Steller's Sealions inhabit the North Pacific and are the largest members of the family of "eared seals." Alaska has the largest population of Steller's Sealions.

Humpback Whales
The humpback whale is the most common baleen whale seen swimming or feeding near short in Prince William Sound, feeding primarily on herring, krill and other small schooling fish. The humpbacks that summer in Alaska are primarily from the Hawaii stock.

Sitka Blacktail Deer
Smaller and stockier than other members of the black-tailed group, they are native to the wet coastal rainforest of Southeast Alaska. Transplanting has expanded its range and good established population, and they now exist in Prince William Sound.

Black Bear
The smallest of the North American bears, they are the most abundant and widely distributed in South Central Alaska. There is three color phases in Alaska. black is the most common, but they can also be seen in cinnamon and blue.
